Kvorn (Coffee Roasters) is a local coffee roasting company located in Stodvarfjordur (And is in fact, the only Coffee Roaster in East Iceland).
Lucasz Stencel, the owner and founder of Kvorn, began his coffee roasting journey after moving from Stodvarfjordur to Reykjavik, in the early 2000s.
First starting off as a hobby, Lucasz’s coffee roasting operation grew larger as time went on. Which resulted in him, along with his wife (Ranka), creating a business around his coffee roasting endeavours.
Kvorn (Coffee Roasters) officially started in 2015 and was stationed in Reykjavik. But after 7 years of operating from Reykjavik, Kvorn saw a gap in the market and decided to move its operation to Stodvarfjordur in 2022. Kvorn thus became the first Coffee roasters in East Iceland.
Kvörn moved its headquarters to the Fish Factory-Creative Centre in Stodvarfjordur.
The green beans, which Kvorn uses to make all of their caffeinated goodness, are imported from Coffee Farms all over the world
Kvorn carefully selects its suppliers and emphasises trading with farms, whose coffee beans rank the highest each time.
Kvorn (Coffee Roasters) is situated by the old harbour in Stodvarfjordur (Inside of The Fish Factory – Creative Centre), roughly 70 metres below Route 1 (The Ring Road).
